I haven't blogged because I have been sooooo busy at the new house. I have painted every night since Sunday. Mom I'm sure is saying the same thing. She has been there right beside me!pics? yeah.. My batteries are dead so I'm borrowing dads and I don't have a cord to plug into the computer so I have pics of her working on Ashlyn's "Butterfly Patch" but I will be sure to post as soon as I get time (hahhahahahaaa). I'm so excited about it I can't sleep!! I want to be there all day and all night getting it ready but thats not possible since I have to have some sleep and work :-)
I'm just ready to be there!
So, rewind:
Friday- Jonathan and I went to dinner at Hard Rock for our anniversary. Hard to believe it's been 6 years. We had fun, I suprised him with a new wedding band with Diamonds, He loved it!! My buddy Bill Carrico with Carrico Jewelers http://www.dreamscometruejewelry.com/ always gives me a great deal! Jonathan never saw it coming. I had Ashlyn help me give it to him :-)
Saturday-
Our official anniversary, I didn't even see Jonathan for more than an hour! Mom and I decided that since we are closing on the 15th (they now moved it to Friday the 13th) we better get to steppin! We went everywhere! Burlington, Home Depot, Value City, Goodwill, Tuesday Morning....and the list goes on.... anyway, we bought everything for mom to create the most awesome rooms for the kiddos. Ashlyn's is amazing and Alexander's is Cool as a fan. We had so much fun!! It's funny cause we were like little high school girls running around on a budgeted shopping spree. Bargains were intresting! we even had a kid climb a rack to get the perfect comforter (that we returned cause we found a better one ha!) with her mom's permission! I do have to say that I am enjoying spending so much time with mom. It's great to be able to just sit in a room paintin, sing along to the radio, chattin up while takin care of business. I love my mom, my best friend!oh, then we went to Founders day, saw lots of people, Alexander fell asleep during the Fireworks!
Sunday- paint paint paint-I think we worked on other stuff but I don't remember...that has to do with loss of sleep. Wayne and Nick Burgin stopped by to check it out...too bad they didn't bring painting clothes :-) We did however get Wayne to install a light that I messed up. We would've been in big trouble when the sun went down if he hadn't stopped by :-)
Monday- work, paint, pack, get frustrated with paint....The kiddos were there with us so it was a rough night as far as work went. They are ready to have their stuff there and things back to normal.
Tuesday- work, paint, paint, clean a little bit, paint...oh, and eat....a lot, mom and I ate cheesecake.....mmmmmmm & a midnight trip to Wal-Mart
Wednesday-Happy 4th of July!!!
PIP & Bethlehem chose to work on the 4th and be off on Friday so that we could have a long weekend. We had a big picnic! Wayne and Dave Pierce grilled and everyone brought a dish to eat. It was delicious! We always have the best food at our events!! Mom and I really don't cook but luckily we are surrounded by them!! (even David, Pipettes) LOVE IT! got off work early, went to home depot-AHHH I got a carpet cleaner for my birthday (it's in October) from mom and dad!! I was soooooo excited...I coundn't wait to use it! got some other things to go in the house, went to the house and painted.
Ashlyn wanted to stay with Granny again (jonathan's mom & dad) so he took the kids over there and came and while he was there recruited Kevin, his brother, to paint!! Kev is a great painter...he was a lifesaver when it came to the trim!!! Alexander cried that he missed his mommy and daddy so granny & popps brought him back to the house. It's crazy cause Ashlyn would stay the night every time shes allowed to somewhere...not bubby, he likes to be home! He likes to be with mommy & daddy....
Came home & packed!
Thursday-
That's today! 7 Days until we are in our new home! It kinda makes me cry...I was packing things in sis' room and I remember hanging some of those things 4 years ago when I was prego. This is were we have raised our children and brought them home and watched them walk and learn to do so many things! (ok, i'm crying now) but, we are moving to a place where we will make more memories and grow closer. Nothing like a creek to bring a family together.
Friday-
uh-huh yeah, go to home depot and buy PAINT!!!!! Then go PAINT the living room and PAINT the kitchen, then go PAAAAAINT the rest of the house....
ok, going loony, will update with pics as soon as i can :-)
1 more thing-
Thank you mom and dad for helping with everything for the house. You have been amazing and I am truly greatful <3
