Do you hear the THUNDER....

I'm soooo excited! Saturday is Thunder over Louisville and I can hardly wait! We have lots of great friends coming over to our new house to have a camp out (yeah, I'll be sleeping in the house) Jen, Shep, Rae, Ernie, Nick, Houge....sniff sniff, reminds me of when I was young and cool. Speaking of young and cool, Shep and I went shopping today. It's funny because the clothes I wear I have to think "would I let Ashlyn wear this". So, shep and I are at the mall and trying on clothes and we're both kinda like...hmmm....are we too old for this stuff?!?! She reminded me that just cause we are mommys doesn't mean we are old. True dat! So, we got our "hot" but still momish outfits...and they are pretty much just alike....we're silly...it's funny cause through all these years we still look alike! Lots of pictures to post after thunder..
Have fun ya'll!!!

enjoy some misc. pics of the babies!

Ok, so..I know it's gross but it had me laughing sooo hard. Ashlyn woke up the other morning and had a head full of snot, needless to say, after she sneezed, she wasn't stuffy anymore! She was not thrilled that she had to wait for me to get the camera before she could wash her face....actually, it gross'd her out

SIGN IN THE YARD....IT'S POTTY TIME

Ok, so my realtor Fran just left and we are officially on the market!!! I didn't think this day was ever going to come.....Sooooo excited, hopefully people will start looking sooooon!!!
Princess Ashlyn watering her beautiful tulips that she planted!
This is spider man with stamps all over his face....he's so cute!
Today was just an awesome day in general I have to say...not only are we on the market....Alexander poop'd in the potty!!! We are making progress. If the house isn't going to be the death of me potty training will be.....He wants to be a big boy but is sooooo scared of the big monster potty. I think he would be fine with going outside to pee for the rest of his life....that's how we got him to start..some things you just have to let come natural...i'm hoping that pooing in the potty will be here sooner than later..... He was so proud.....maybe he'll do it again tomorrow... we'll see :-)

Sunday-Easter
we went to church then to my grandparents and his parents then home to bed

Found out Jennifers dad passed away on Easter. How hard is that, Every easter that is what they will remember. Espically the little ones in the family. so sad!

Wednesday-
Can't really think of anything cool

Thursday-
Went to the funeral. It was packed! Charlie Jones held the service. He did a good job. My heart just broke for Jen. She is so strong. I just kept thinking about how I would probably be going nuts. Then Shep, Rae, Erin and I went to Texas Roadhouse to eat and then down to Dillards to try on Derby hats...an absolute blast!

Friday-We went to Cheddars for Judy's b-day. Its funny because I ordered the Spinich Dip (thanks to Brian & Maria, I'm addicted to it) she comes back and tells me they are all out. Okiedokie.....I order a glass of wine.....she comes back to tell me they were all out. Just my luck. I guess the waitress didn't realize that I was the one in charge of her tip (just jokin, they were packed..no biggie) Then we rented movies and went home. After going to bed after 1am I hoped the kids would sleep late...no such luck...thats why I'm blogging at 7:15 in the morning!!!!
This is Ernie dancing in my backseat...shes silly
This is Alexander getting ready for Grannys Friday morning. He's soooo funny, he wears all of his clothes backwards!

Jennifer wanted to see if she would feel/look any smarter in Ernie's glasses

I'm the only one who eats the lime...

So, Jonathan gets little man out of the shower and he goes and hides and "paints" his toenails and fingernails....yeah, then gets really mad when we have to put him in the shower to wash it off again....should i be worried?

This house....my husband....oh my

Ok, so I finally got all the living room, dining/Kitchen, trim painted...This house is going to be the death of me....I swear! Jonathan, bless his heart, tries to help but I just get mad at him cause he doesn't know how to do it "my way"...He tried to help me patch a spot on the ceiling where the roof leaked and I ended up telling him to let me show him how to do it....and did it all myself. He finally went to go clean out the kids closet.....not fun...he kept coming out of the room to the hall where I was painting and asking what to do with EVERY ITEM. I suggested that maybe he should clean out his side of the closet. He did a great job!!! He even picked up all my clothes and shoes and lined them up nicely.(my closet is HUGE, but I am a slob when it comes to clothes, shoes and hats) After that he went to the kitchen and did his usual thang...cook and clean. Our house is so funny! We are the opposite of the norm I think....I like to fix things...can we say CONTROL FREAK?!?!?

So we go to Lowes after we drop off the kids at his parents, for those of you who know me, I'm a shopper!!!! I can shop anytime anyplace and find bargains! I love to walk up and down every isle looking at every item....My husband is the exact opposite!!! He wants to RUN in, get what we need, RUN out. So we get our ceiling paint and start to head for the door (After I whine for 5 minutes about how I want to "look around" well, we found our medium and I got to look at curtains. I found the perfect ones for the kitchen!! Then I was drug out kicking and screaming like my 4-yr. old (maybe not that bad, but I did throw a hissy) I am thankful for a husband with patience....with me...

After the kids got back from Granny and popps house I had to run to dollar general. I told Jonathan that I needed to go for laundry detergent and I would Be right back......He knows better....I left at 7:30 (store closes at 8)I ended up with laundry detergent, new plates, cutting board, candy, dish rags, new glasses for the table...then they told me I had to check out. so I get home and get all the sruff out and put up. I finally sit down after a long shower to see if my skin would ever be normal after scrubbing paint off and hear, "Alicia, will you go to the store" theses are the famous words around our house. I always have to go to the store....drives me nuts...so I go, get home, and tuck the kids in after telling Ashlyn that she has a special delivery tomorrow (doughnuts from the girl scouts) and she had to go to sleep....finally silence.

Saturdays are usually the best! I get to go to breakfast with all the denney's and sometimes I get away with going home solo...sometimes I don't, oh well, it happends. I think the best part is that Jonathan would rather let me sleep till I want to than to wake me up and deal with me being so mean and cranky in the am. I'm not a morning person....never have been!

Well, I guess I will get to working on the house....again...almost done woo hoo!! I'll have lots of pics tomorrow!
I think after reviewing my own blogging...I have an enlightened respect for my hub. he tries so hard to keep me happy, he takes care of me (without him I probably eat popcorn for dinner everynight b/c I don't cook), a great father to our children, the perfect housekeeper and just alltogether a wonderful man. I love you Jonathan (Candyman ;-)

Happy Easter everyone!! I won't get to see alot of church people tomorrow since I am working toddler nursery.
XOXOXOXO
