Ok, so I finally got all the living room, dining/Kitchen, trim painted...This house is going to be the death of me....I swear! Jonathan, bless his heart, tries to help but I just get mad at him cause he doesn't know how to do it "my way"...He tried to help me patch a spot on the ceiling where the roof leaked and I ended up telling him to let me show him how to do it....and did it all myself. He finally went to go clean out the kids closet.....not fun...he kept coming out of the room to the hall where I was painting and asking what to do with EVERY ITEM. I suggested that maybe he should clean out
his side of the closet. He did a great job!!! He even picked up all my clothes and shoes and lined them up nicely.(my closet is HUGE, but I am a slob when it comes to clothes, shoes and hats) After that he went to the kitchen and did his usual thang...cook and clean. Our house is so funny! We are the opposite of the norm I think....I like to fix things...can we say CONTROL FREAK?!?!?
So we go to Lowes after we drop off the kids at his parents, for those of you who know me, I'm a shopper!!!! I can shop anytime anyplace and find bargains! I love to walk up and down every isle looking at every item....My husband is the exact opposite!!! He wants to RUN in, get what we need, RUN out. So we get our ceiling paint and start to head for the door (After I whine for 5 minutes about how I want to "look around" well, we found our medium and I got to look at curtains. I found the perfect ones for the kitchen!! Then I was drug out kicking and screaming like my 4-yr. old (maybe not that bad, but I did throw a hissy) I am thankful for a husband with patience....with me...
After the kids got back from Granny and popps house I had to run to dollar general. I told Jonathan that I needed to go for laundry detergent and I would Be right back......He knows better....I left at 7:30 (store closes at 8)I ended up with laundry detergent, new plates, cutting board, candy, dish rags, new glasses for the table...then they told me I had to check out. so I get home and get all the sruff out and put up. I finally sit down after a long shower to see if my skin would ever be normal after scrubbing paint off and hear, "Alicia, will you go to the store" theses are the famous words around our house. I always have to go to the store....drives me nuts...so I go, get home, and tuck the kids in after telling Ashlyn that she has a special delivery tomorrow (doughnuts from the girl scouts) and she had to go to sleep....finally silence.
Saturdays are usually the best! I get to go to breakfast with all the denney's and sometimes I get away with going home solo...sometimes I don't, oh well, it happends. I think the best part is that Jonathan would rather let me sleep till I want to than to wake me up and deal with me being so mean and cranky in the am. I'm not a morning person....never have been!
Well, I guess I will get to working on the house....again...almost done woo hoo!! I'll have lots of pics tomorrow!
I think after reviewing my own blogging...I have an enlightened respect for my hub. he tries so hard to keep me happy, he takes care of me (without him I probably eat popcorn for dinner everynight b/c I don't cook), a great father to our children, the perfect housekeeper and just alltogether a wonderful man. I love you Jonathan (Candyman ;-)
Happy Easter everyone!! I won't get to see alot of church people tomorrow since I am working toddler nursery.
XOXOXOXO
